A small mouse and a photo shoot.

Sometimes I find a piece of fabric that asks to be turned into something small and quirky. And since everything I make is individually handstitched and small…. And a warm up to start on my other characters I have created from a piece of vintage velvet a mouse. And that makes a good photo for me.

If you look very closely below you will see a sleeping bunny. I love creating tiny tiny stitches on a wearable art piece. If you stitch too many you change the sculpture of the character… Few is better.

This ballerina has been ordered. Handstitched items take up to a couple of weeks to make given the size and deliberate tiny stitches involved.

A handstitched bag is also created for each individual item. They come as an unexpected surprise for the client, because the packages are wrapped beautifully and when opened a new discovery of specialness is unveiled with a handstitched bag. (Or something else).
